Meet Lovey – A True Beauty, Inside and Out 

When Lovey was first found, she was a shadow of the dog she was meant to be. Emaciated, weak, and suffering from scabies, she had clearly been neglected for far too long. But even in her darkest moments, her gentle spirit still shined through — she never stopped hoping for kindness. With love, care, and a safe place to heal, Lovey transformed. Today, she is healthy, radiant, and living up to her name in every way. Her blackish-brown coat now glows, her golden eyes sparkle with joy, and her heart is overflowing with love to give. Lovey is a stunning one-year-old Pointer mix, standing tall and lean at about 40 pounds. She is intelligent, athletic, and eager to learn, the true spirit of a bird dog. She has already mastered “sit,” walks beautifully on a leash with her harness, and learns new commands quickly. Fetch is her favorite game, and she plays with enthusiasm (she’s still working on the “drop the ball” part, but she’s trying!). This sweet girl adores being around people and enjoys children of all ages. Lovey is friendly with other dogs and passes them politely on walks. True to her breed, she finds cats a bit too interesting and will happily chase squirrels, birds, and rabbits, so a cat-free home would be ideal. Lovey’s foster describes her as loving, joyful, and playful. She gives kisses freely, her tail never stops wagging, and she believes that every lap is meant for cuddling no matter her size. After everything she has endured, Lovey is ready for a forever family who will treasure her. She has a remarkable capacity to love, and she is so eager to share it with a family of her own.
