Meet Lexi!
Lexi came into rescue on March 5, 2026, when she was estimated to be about six months old. When she arrived, Lexi was injured and needed a safe place to heal. A loving foster family stepped up to care for her, helping her recover while giving her the time, attention, and love she needed. Now approximately 40 pounds, this beautiful mixed-breed girl is ready for her next chapter. Lexi is smart, loving, energetic, and eager to learn. She has already learned basic commands including “wait,” “sit,” and “down,” and is continuing to refine her door manners as she grows and matures. She is also house-trained and crate-trained. Lexi is working on her leash training and is making good progress, although she still has some puppy excitement and may pull at times—especially when the cats make an appearance! Lexi can be a little hesitant when meeting someone for the first time, but give her a little time and patience, and she warms up nicely. Once she’s comfortable, her sweet, playful personality shines through. She loves fetch and “find it,” and she’s happy to play both indoors and outside. Lexi currently lives in a foster home with two indoor dogs and six outdoor cats. She is very social and has all the enthusiasm you would expect from a young pup—she thinks dogs, cats, and kids might all make excellent playmates! She is continuing to learn how to channel and regulate her puppy exuberance. One thing her foster family has discovered along the way: Lexi is afraid of horses, so a horse-free home would be best for her. Lexi would thrive with an active family or adopter who is ready to include her in their adventures and continue helping her learn and grow. She is looking for someone who will appreciate her intelligence, playful spirit, and loving heart—and who is excited to have a smart, fun adventure partner by their side. With her loving personality, eagerness to please, and so much potential, Lexi is ready for her next adventure and the family she can call her own.
